Liliana Salce

As a contemporary artist, I channel intense emotions rooted in personal experiences, social struggles, community, and protest through paintings and drawings . Through portraiture and figurative, and surreal imagery, I explore how obsessive or passionate feelings shape our actions, thoughts, and understanding of ourselves. My work often confronts the tension between inner experience and outward expression. They often mirror my own ongoing exploration of my mental health with its unique complexities. I process and express these emotions through stratified concepts and loud metaphorical symbols.This internal dialogue drives much of my practice, allowing me to give form to feelings that are often difficult to name but deeply felt.
